Running in the Dark - Season Two
Running in the Dark started as a podcast about the business advice everyone needs, but nobody really talks about.
During Season One, that changed.
Two episodes focused on something much more personal: what it is really like to run a business while dealing with health issues.
I shared my own experience of running an agency while living with Sjögren’s Disease, before speaking to Lyssa-Fêe Crump about building her career alongside her own health challenges.
Those conversations struck a chord. Not just with me, but with a lot of people.
This made me realise there was a much bigger conversation to be had about what happens when you are ambitious, responsible for a business or career, and your health doesn’t always cooperate.
So, Season Two of Running in the Dark is dedicated entirely to those conversations.
I’ll be speaking to business owners, founders and professionals about the realities of working and building something while living with chronic illness, disability and other health challenges.
We’ll talk about the things that are often hidden behind the scenes: fatigue, flare-ups, adapting how you work, managing clients and teams, changing expectations, setting boundaries, dealing with guilt and finding ways to keep moving forward.
These aren’t stories about overcoming illness.
They’re honest conversations about building a life and business alongside it.
Sometimes we're thriving.
Sometimes we're adapting.
It's bloody difficult.
But we do it anyway.
