Social Media Talks
Whether you're hosting a start-up conference, an SME event, a networking day, or a bespoke workshop, I have a talk that fits. All sessions are available as keynotes, breakout talks, or interactive workshops, and can be tailored to your audience and event format.
-
For: Beginners, new business owners, start-up events.
The essential grounding every small business owner needs. This talk cuts through the noise and gives audiences a clear, practical starting point for social media: which platforms matter, how to show up consistently, and how to stop overthinking and start posting. AKA social media strategy by another, less scary, name.
-
For: Small business owners, founders, early-stage businesses, networking events
Everyone talks about personal brand, but what does that actually mean when you're starting a business? And what if you don't want to be the business? Before you can create content that connects, you need to know what you're actually saying and who's saying it. In this talk, I help audiences understand the difference between personal brand and business personality, why it matters, and why getting this right changes everything that comes after.
-
For: Businesses who are already active on social media but not seeing results
You're showing up. You're posting consistently. So why aren't the sales following? This is the talk for businesses who've started their social media journey but feel stuck in the gap between effort and results. I will unpack the missing piece: how social media fits into the wider customer journey, and what it takes to move people from scrolling to buying.
-
For: Businesses looking for untapped growth, e-commerce, creative industries, food & drink.
Most businesses are ignoring Pinterest. That's good news for yours. In this talk, I explore why Pinterest behaves differently to every other social platform - part search engine, part social network, entirely underused - and how businesses can use it to drive consistent, long-term traffic and sales.
-
For: Businesses already using Pinterest, marketers, more advanced audiences.
A deeper dive into Pinterest's paid advertising offering, why it's one of the most underpriced and underutilised paid social channels available to small businesses right now, and how to make it work.
-
For: Growing businesses, marketing teams, businesses already running paid social
Most businesses run their paid social channels in silos. Meta over here. Pinterest over there. TikTok somewhere else. In this advanced talk, I show audiences how to build a paid social ecosystem where each platform does a specific job, and where the channels actively support each other to drive better results for less budget.
-
I can also deliver a range of bespoke talks on request, including Social Media for Food & Drink, Social Media for the Arts, Supercharge Your Christmas Sales with Social, and more. If you have a specific topic or audience in mind, get in touch.

You Don’t Look Sick…
The talk about business, chronic illness, and showing up anyway.
If you've ever heard those words, or said them to yourself in the mirror on a bad day, this talk is for you.
I live with Sjögren's syndrome, an autoimmune disease that affects my daily life and the way I run my business. In this honest, warm, and genuinely useful talk, I share what it's really like to build something meaningful when your body doesn't always cooperate, and what I’ve learned along the way that nobody told me.
This is not a talk about giving up. It's not a talk about silver linings.
It's a talk about building a business that works for your life; the real one, on the hard days as well as the good ones.
Audiences leave feeling less alone, better equipped, and quietly inspired; not by the idea that chronic illness is something to overcome, but by the proof that it doesn't have to stop you.
This talk is suitable for: SME conferences, women in business events, entrepreneurship programmes, bespoke events, and any gathering where the audience includes people navigating life and business with a chronic or invisible health condition.
